BEEF ULARTHIYATHU

Beef Ularthiyathu





Ingredients

Beef – 1 kg
Coriander powder -2 tbsp
Chilly powder -1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
Fennel seeds – ¼ tsp
Crushed garlic -1 tbsp
Chopped ginger – 1 tbsp
Shallots – 7 Nos
Cloves – 4 Nos
Cinnamon – 2 pieces
Lime Juice – 2 tbsp
Onion – 1
Cocunut(2 pieces)- sliced into thin pieces
Curry leaves – 2 stalks
Salt to taste
Cooking oil

Directions
1. Cut the beef into small pieces.
2. Fry the sliced coconut pieces in a pan till it turns golden brown
2. Marinate it with coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, powdered fennel seeds, crushed garlic, chopped ginger, crushed shallots, cloves, cinnamon, lime juice and salt for 30 minutes.
3. Cook the marinated beef in a pressure cooker for 10 – 15 minutes.
4. Check if the beef is cooked. If the beef is cooked drain the excess water.
5. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion and curry leaves.
6. Add the cooked beef and the fried coconut pieces into the pan and sauté it in a low flame till the beef becomes dark brown.
