JEERA ALOO

Jeera Aloo

Ingredients

Potatoes (medium) - 3
Cumin seeds -2tsp
Green chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger - 1inch piece (chopped )
Turmeric powder - 1/2tesp
Red chilly powder- 1/4 tsp
Vegetable oil
Salt to taste

Directions

1. Boil the potatoes in a pan  until they are done. They should not crumble, should be able to hold  
    their  shape.
2. Peel and cut them in cubes.
3. Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds, allow them to sizzle. Be sure not to burn it.
4. Add the red chilly powder, turmeric powder and saute it.
5. Add the green chili and ginger and saute for a minute until the ginger starts changing color.
6. Add the boiled potatoes and salt.
7. Mix everything well and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
8. Serve Jeera Aloo with paratha, chappati or rice.
