Beans Thoran
Ingredients
Chopped beans - 2 cups
Grated coconut – ¼ cup
Garlic cloves – 2
Shallots – 2 Nos
Green chillies - 3 Nos.
Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Vegetable oil – 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Directions
1. Cook beans with turmeric powder and salt in little water.
2. Crush the grated coconut, cumin seeds, garlic, shallots and green chillies and add to the cooked beans. Mix well.
3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter. Add curry leaves.
4. Add the beans into the pan, stir well and cook it for 2 minutes.
