RASAM

Rasam



Ingredients

Tomatoes – 4
Garlic cloves -3
Chilly powder – ½ tsp
Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
Coriander seeds – 1 ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Peppercorns – 8 -10
Tamarind water – 3 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves

Directions

1.Roast the peppercorns, coriander seeds and cumin seeds for a minute.
2. Grind them into a masala powder.
3. Cut the tomatoes into pieces and put them into 8 glasses of boiling water.
4. Crush the garlic cloves and add that along with the other ingredients.
5. Boil again for 10 minutes.
6. Sqeeze the tomato pieces with a spoon. Boil for another 5 minutes.
7.Garnish it with coriander leaves.
