RAVA UPPUMA

Rava Uppuma




Ingredients

Fried Semolina(Rava) – 2 cups
Green chillies - 4 - 5 Nos
Ginger - A medium piece
Onion(small) - 1
Mustard seeds - ½ tbsp
Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
Curry leaves
Black gram – 2 tbsp (optional)
Salt to taste

Directions

1. Chop the onion, chillies and ginger.
2. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds.
3. Add onion, chillies, ginger, curry leaves and black gram. Sauté for 5 minutes.
4. Add 5 cups of water and salt.
5. Let the water boil and add the fried rava into it. Stir continuously till the extra moisture is absorbed. Make sure that there are no lumps.
6. Serve hot.
