BREAD BAJJI

Bread Bajji





Ingredients

Bread - 4 slices
Besan - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1 tsp
Chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Shallots - 3(cut into very small pieces)
Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

Directions

1. Mix besan, chilly powder, rice flour, asafoetida, shallots and salt with water ( The batter should be of the right consistency...not too thin or too thick)
2. Cut each bread slice into four pieces.
3. Dip the bread pieces in the batter so that it gets coated on all sides. Deep fry in oil and serve hot with sauce or pudhina chutney.
