PASTA WITH MEAT SAUCE

Pasta with meat sauce



Ingredients

Ground beef – 1 lb
Onion -1 (diced)
Garlic cloves – 2 (minced)
Chopped green bell pepper – ½ cup
Tomatoes – 2 (medium, diced)
Tomato sauce - ½ cup
Dried Parsley – 1 tbsp
Pasta – 1 packet (14 oz)
White sugar – 1 tsp
Cheese (optional)
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste

Directions

1. In a large pan over medium heat, combine ground beef, onion and garlic. Cook until meat is evenly brown. Drain excess fat. Stir in bell pepper and tomatoes. Season with dried parsley, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in sugar. Simmer 15 minutes more.
2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until it is done. Drain the water. Add the meat sauce to pasta and serve hot. Can be served with cheese also.
